New Orleans, LA. – Exhibiting at the INTERNATIONAL WORKBOAT SHOW

December 1-3, 2015 Morial Convention Center

The largest commercial marine tradeshow in North America takes place every year here and it proved to be a very memorable one. I’ve attended in the past, but this year was one of over 1,100 exhibitors and I have to say, it was one of the best shows ever. This is where your colleagues and peers meet, make new connections, and learn about new products and big ideas at the forefront of the commercial marine industry.

Exhibitors and attendees are here to do business and networking was in full force. We showcased our custom 12” and 15” commercial-grade, water-tight monitors and Interactive Displays. With 47” & 55” displays in your booth, people notice you real quick. Similar to a giant tablet, you can write, record, bring in video, annotate, and capture it all in one single device. Naval architects and marine engineers saw how their teams could communicate, collaborate and disseminate information in real-time, no matter the size of the project. And did I mention, ease of use?

I was impressed by the friendliness of the exhibitors who were eager to learn about our products, took time to see a demo, and return with someone they thought would want to see it, too. How often does that happen? Well, here, it happens a lot and that’s the appeal of this show. Attendees and exhibitors are easy to talk to; no big hype, just a group of hardworking people who want to do business with one another.

Did I walk away with a lot of leads? Yes! Will I do this again next year? Absolutely! And on top of it all, I was in fun New Orleans eating the best food on the planet, listening to great music and Cajun talk, and meeting some of the best folks in the industry. What is there not to like about this show?

In my next blog, I’ll talk more about the Interactive Displays and why I think they’re the next BIG thing…stay tuned.
